Biotech and Healthtech<\/b><\/a>, promoted by Foment and the U.S. Consulate General in Barcelona, will attend a meeting at Boston City Hall with the mayor, <b>Michelle Wu<\/b>, and the chief of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion, <b>Segun Idowu<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>There are also scheduled meetings with two key players in the U.S. innovation ecosystem, <b>MIT and Harvard<\/b>, where they will present some of their latest innovations; a meeting with the Spanish Consul General in Boston, <b>Ana Dur\u00e1n de la Colina<\/b>; and with the executive director of <b>MOITI<\/b> (Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment), <b>Jeevan Ramapriya<\/b>, and key business representatives from the region.<\/p>\n<p>Visits to several accelerators are also planned, such as <b>MassChallenge<\/b>, the largest in the world; <b>InnoVenture Labs<\/b>, where they will meet its president, <b>Chris Isley<\/b>, and interact with local entrepreneurs; <b>Engine Ventures<\/b>, known for its strong academic, commercial, and government network to scale companies tackling major opportunities in climate change and healthcare, where they will also meet its leader, <b>Israel Ruiz<\/b>; and <b>LabCentral<\/b>, the first shared laboratory space located in the heart of Cambridge, designed to support top-tier biotech startups in their early stages, where participants will be welcomed by <b>Dr. Johannes Fruehauf<\/b>, president of the labs.<\/p>\n<p>During the expedition, the employer&#8217;s association leader will be accompanied by Foment\u2019s executive director, Biotech and Healthtech<\/a>. The program is supported by ACCI\u00d3\u202f(Government of Catalonia), LEVEL, law firm RCD, and Tech Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>The Jump Startup program is designed to support 20 outstanding women entrepreneurs in the health and biotechnology sectors in Spain.
